A refurbished heritage building that formerly housed a post office at Charing Cross in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is being offered for sale via auction through Ray White Commercial.
The property, located at 234 Bronte Road, Waverley, is being marketed by Grant Whiteman of Ray White Commercial Eastern Suburbs.
Grant Whiteman said the site’s position within the Charing Cross locality provided a number of potential uses for the prospective buyer.
“The building sits on a six way intersection, on the corner of Bronte Road and Carrington Road, with the Charing Cross Hotel, Robin Hood Hotel and a number of local shops in the immediate vicinity,” he said.
“It has subdivision potential, being a well-sized 464 sqm lot with dual street access.
“Subject to council approval, it would make a fantastic showroom, medical suite or even a restaurant, bar or café because of the huge exposure it enjoys.”
Grant Whiteman said the building was immaculately presented and featured a number of highly-valued qualities that suited most commercial operations.
“The building has multiple display windows, an open plan with high ceilings and great natural light,” he said.
“There are also five undercover car spaces with direct internal access.”
The property is conveniently located less than 10 minutes to Bondi Beach and just under 10 kilometres from the Sydney CBD, with both Centennial Park and Moore Park nearby.
It will be auctioned at Level 1 of the Double Bay Auction Centre, 20-26 Cross Street, Double Bay at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 4, 2013.
